Let’s be honest. Pulling off an event like this is a very expensive proposition. There are venues, speakers and a thousand little details that you’d rather not think about. And frankly, the sort of people that we want to be part of the NYMC are normally not that flush with cash. If you are paid, it might not be that well, and you probably use a fair bit of it in the midst of your service. So we have tried to keep the costs as low as possible. Part of that we’ve been able to do through the generosity of our speakers, and partly through sponsors kindly supporting us financially.
