Tash commenced as Program Director - Youth in 2005. Immediately prior to this, she interned at Ashgrove whilst completing a one year Youth Ministry Internship with Scripture Union (SU) in 2004. In addition, Tash has in excess of 8 years experience as a youth leader at Ashgrove, as well as being committed and involved with local high school youth programs and SU camps. Tash is also a talented musician who taught violin and piano professionally before taking up this role. She continues to foster this love for music.
Tash is passionate about young people capturing the life that Christ has intended for them and helping them to understand what that "fullness of life" looks like. Her vision is to see young people passionate about their Maker and sharing Him with others.
Tash likes to think of herself as a jelly bean; don't be fooled by her tough exterior, on the inside is a big softy waiting to seep out.
(Sunday 10:30am-11:45am)
How do you really care for the young people in your ministries? What can we do to improve on our skills in that area? How do we re-discover the lost art of listening?
(Professional Development Seminar with Darren Whitehead, Ross Savill and John Thorpe)
(Thursday 12:30pm-2:00pm, 2:30pm-4:00pm, 4:30pm-6:00pm, Friday 8:30am-10:am)
These four youth workers will each give you an inside look at their youth ministries, and share their philosophy of youth ministry, strategies, best ideas, biggest failures, what worked and what didn’t. We’re not pretending any of these 4 are perfect or are “the” model of youth ministry. The idea is not that you copy any of these models, but instead use their stories and reasoning to re-analyse your own situation and see where God is calling you and your team. We hope that you will be inspired by their stories, will learn from their mistakes and will come away with fresh ideas for your own ministry.
