Marty has been with SU QLD since 2006 and fulfils two roles there. Firstly he is Bible Ministry Consultant for the organisation, giving him the responsibility of envisioning, encouraging, equipping and resourcing the process of young people engaging with the Bible. Secondly, he is a Vocational Trainer with the YMIS Diploma of Youth Work where he is responsible for supervising a group of Chaplains in their studies.
Marty came to SU after 10 years of church-based Youth Ministry in which he was a Youth Pastor in both the Churches of Christ and Anglican denominations. He studied theology at Sydney Missionary and Bible College, and architecture at the University of New South Wales.
Marty lives in Tweed Heads with his wife and two children and is big fan of – painting, reading, the Socceroos, The Clash, guitar playing, good food/wine, coffee and a BBQ on the deck with friends.
