(Wednesday 4:00pm)
Doing ministry in contemporary culture can be a tough gig. To effectively minister amongst youth and young adults we must first understand their culture. This elective will help you understand that culture with a special emphasis on what popular youth culture tells us about how youth view themselves. Special attention will be given to the topic of helping young people discern and understand their place in youth and young adults culture.
(Thursday 2:00pm)
Many young people both inside and outside the church are being sold a new version of the good life that has very little to do with the biblical worldview. Many young people are swapping a spiritual search -for a search for meaning through consumerism and pleasure. Understanding this new secular view of heaven is key. Mark will show how you can help your youth and young adults re-engage with a biblical view of the kingdom which will lead to greater missional effectiveness and deepened discipleship.
(Friday 10:30am)
Mark will tell you all you need to know about Generation Y ….about why they are so different from Generation X and how you can help them to become dedicated followers of Christ in a comfortable culture.
