Jon has been in Youth Ministry for about 15 years doing camping (2yrs), working for a local church (9yrs), and now training (4yrs). He is currently the Head of Training for Youthworks, with the job of helping churches reach children and youth so they can hear about Jesus, grow in Jesus and live for Jesus. He is married to Sarah and they have 3 kids; Lucie, Annabelle and Matthew. In his free time he loves going to the beach with the family, cycling with mates and every now and again getting out to the race track on the bike (Suzuki GSXR750, top speed so far 272 km/h)

These four youth workers will each give you an inside look at their youth ministries, and share their philosophy of youth ministry, strategies, best ideas, biggest failures, what worked and what didn’t. We’re not pretending any of these 4 are perfect or are “the” model of youth ministry. The idea is not that you copy any of these models, but instead use their stories and reasoning to re-analyse your own situation and see where God is calling you and your team. We hope that you will be inspired by their stories, will learn from their mistakes and will come away with fresh ideas for your own ministry.
